Mission

The Bulgarian Association of Professional Chefs (BAPC) is not a labor union – it remains detached from all labor/management disputes – but is rather a fraternal organisation for professional chefs. It seeks to enhance the image of the chef to the public and to support the food producing industry and related trades.

The BAPC’s purpose is to improve general public-chef relations, increase the prestige and status of practicing chefs, and perform valuable public relations for the entire food preparation industry. The BAPC enjoys a warm relationship with all facets of the food industries, many representatives of which are supporters and sponsors of our activities.

Chefs who measure up to BAPC high standards join an organisation that promotes a feeling of comradeship and even of family among its members. Internal members form a network of colleagues who lend each other moral support, share their creative expertise, meet socially, and offer informal professional assistance.
Of course, most individuals are accepted as members because of their proficiency as chefs and their dedication to the art of cooking.
The BAPC is currently pursuing a membership within the World Association of Cooks Societies (WACS) and has aligned its goals toward that end.

Based in Sofia, we currently have regional guilds in Plovdiv, Varna and Stara Zagora, with others soon to be formed. We urge all professional chefs to consider join an organisation whose commitment to enhance the prestige of our profession that it so rightly deserves.

We encourage you to contact us at any of our guild locations or through our website.
